What is Patient Tracking System?

Remote Patient Tracking System is the general name of the technologies that enable the patient to be followed up by the doctor outside the traditional clinical environment (Home, etc.) after the treatment and save the patient's transportation costs and the time required for control.

Thanks to the remote patient follow-up system, it accelerates the communication of the patients with their doctors, reducing the independence in the treatment process, preventing complications, reducing personal costs and increasing the quality of life. Remote patient advantages provide some of the health services by moving them home. In addition, the patients and their relatives who are discharged after the treatment experience the comfort of knowing that they are followed up when a problem occurs. This benefit is most important for chronic patients or patients who are in the critical period after surgery. The Remote Patient Monitoring System aims to take early precautions by monitoring physiological data and determining complications before they occur, and to reduce the number of emergency room and hospital visits or visit time. The efficiency achieved by reducing visits or visit time in the clinical setting means more time is devoted to the communication and education of remote patient follow-up.

Technological Components

There are 4 basic components that enable the remote patient monitoring system to work.

1. sensors
Sensors enable the collection of vital or other patient-related data from the patient. For example, in the Dakik Remote Patient Monitoring system, these components provide the Matrix EKG device, the CoaguChek® INR Meter, or the Bluetooth EKG Devices.

2. Local Data Stores
Local storage solutions are intermediary agents where data from sensors is kept until transferred to central storage areas. For example, Dakik Remote Patient Tracking System Telephone Applications perform this process.

3. Central Data Stores
Central Data Stores store the data sent by the intermediary agents for analysis when needed. It also keeps all the patient's data chronologically. For example, the systems of the Dakik Remote Patient Tracking System running in the background undertake this task.

4.Diagnostic applications
It is all of the applications that perform Diagnosis or Diagnostic Assistant by examining the collected data of the patient from the Central Data Stores on a regular basis. For example, the diagnosis of tachycardia from the EKG.

Apps

The areas where the Patient Tracking System is being used or the Dakik Remote Patient Tracking System can be used are as follows.

  • Diabetes treatment process Follow-up
  • Heart Diseases and Post-Treatment Follow-up
  • Oncological Treatment Processes
  • Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation processes
  • Nutrition and Dietetics Follow-up
  • Pregnancy Process
  • Child Development Process
  • Allergy Treatment Process
  • Psychological Treatment Process
  • Psychiatric Treatment Process

In addition, it is possible to follow up with data, it can be used for all patients or areas subject to a certain program.

Limitations

The biggest problem that can be encountered in the use of the Remote Patient Tracking System is the patient's self-discipline and motivation. The reluctance that patients will encounter in monitoring their own health depends on the self-data of the team providing the follow-up. In addition, this reluctance can be prevented before the patient falls into this reluctance with the feedbacks and a motivating communication to be provided during the follow-up. Another economic limitation is that the value of remote patient follow-up systems during the treatment process was not understood by insurance companies and they were not covered by insurance. At this point, the cost of using this system is reflected on the patient. However, the patient will be profitable in the long term, especially in chronic cases, where the cost of travel, food, control and all other examination expenses cause a greater cost. It can be life-saving, especially in cases of epidemics, disasters, etc., when patients or people have to stay at home.

The example about the mattress sizing page you mentioned in the last WBF can be a perfect example of new keywords and content, and broadening the funnel as well. I can only imagine the sale numbers if that was the site of a mattress selling company.
